How have window treatments changed? Which are your favorite new looks? For the moment, window treatments have evolved into more scant coverage. Drapery panels and decorative rods seem to be the most popular window treatments. My favorite new look is using more than one fabric on a panel with decorative trims.
Are eco-friendly fabrics making a statement in fabric choices in all areas of interior design? The answer is “yes”! Eco-friendly fabrics are beginning to make a footprint in the choices that we and our clients can choose from for our homes or offices.
Have any new paint finishes emerged with a strong presence? I think that textured, glazed walls are one of the newer paint finishes on the home fashion scene. They add the perfect backdrop for a comfortable, aged look.

How do you help your clients incorporate functional design into their spaces? To create function in a client’s home, I think you have to have a frank discussion with your client about how they use their room or home. With this information, you can create a space that will optimize their needs.
How do accessories help spaces transition from one design style to another? If you want your accessories to transition from one design style to another, they need to be classic, timeless pieces. Consider accessorizing with an oversized mirror to add light and make a space feel larger.
What are your favorite places to design? I like to help my clients design their kitchens, master bedrooms and master baths. Kitchens have become the heart of the home, while master bedrooms and bathrooms have become the retreat. In these spaces, I like to create interiors that are timeless, clean and classical with a hint of modern.

Accessories that are “classics”: Old books, collectible vases, statuary, paintings, etc. I like it when a house looks personal, like you have collected things over time.
Favorite colors to brighten a room: I like to use soft greens, earthy browns, pale yellows and warm neutrals.
