In our ever-expanding city, the options in building or buying a spectacular new home are both exciting and endless. St. Louis Homes and Lifestyles’ 2010 Homes of the Year winners showcase the area’s best in the fields of building, architecture and design, and we congratulate the distinguished award winners.

Our 2010 Homes of the Year contest was a tremendous success, and we are proud to introduce 12 winning homes across four prestigious categories. A dedicated panel of knowledgeable judges – including architects, design professionals and homeowners – judged each of the homes based on criteria, such as interior and exterior aesthetics, space planning, kitchen and bath functionality, and landscaping and curb appeal. Other elements of home design – including the integration of technology, architectural planning and the use of environmentally conscious building practices and materials – were also considered in the Homes of the Year judging process.

Award winners in the Platinum and Gold categories included: Best Custom Home, Best Home in a Condo/Loft Development, Best Model/Display Home and Best Green Home. These extraordinary residences exemplify superb design, and they can be found throughout the Metro area's most notable and desirable neighborhoods and communities.

We invite you to discover the magnificence of many of our city's most beautiful homes, and we hope that these inviting, idea-filled pages will inspire you to find the home of your dreams, too – right here in St. Louis.
