A ladies’ day out in Lamp & Lantern Village
A one-stop shop for home décor, jewelry, and gifts, Lamp and Lantern is the perfect place to indulge in a girls’ day out with friends. Shoppers can even treat themselves to facials or mani-pedis at Fringe Salon and Spa or catch-up over lunch at one of the delicious courtyard restaurants, such as the Hearth Room Café.
At F.O.B. Saint Louis, you’ll find home furnishings, wall décor, accessories, beautiful floral arrangements and wreaths created by the shop’s custom floral designers and so much more.
“My mission was to find things with a great look, yet that are affordable, to give your home that finished touch,” says F.O.B. Saint Louis owner Kay Wallace. “The accessories are really what give your home a personality and make it unique.”

Although you might stop by Dazzle Boutique looking for a gift, you’ll likely leave with a little something for yourself, too. However, don’t worry; there’s no need to spend a fortune. “With a big variety in price points, you can find something that fits your budget,” says Dazzle’s owner, Jennifer Walsh. A large line of personalized items is also very popular and includes wallets, key chains, wine glasses, monogrammed jewelry and more.

Fringe Salon and Spa offers spa services, such as facials, manicures and pedicures, as well as hair services. Donnette Begian, who co-owns the salon with Angela Carlson, recommends Fringe’s rejuvenating facials in particular. They offer Clarisonic facials that use the same sonic waves as an electric toothbrush to deep clean your face. For a quick treatment, the Opal facial helps reduce stress lines around your eyes. You can also never go wrong splurging on a pedicure with fun colors like those in Katy Perry’s new O.P.I. collection.

After an afternoon of shopping, Hearth Room Café is a great spot to refuel. “Great food, reasonable prices and a comfortable atmosphere” will greet you when you walk in the door, according to co-owner Ann Ojile. She and co-owner Tina Harper have created a cozy restaurant with a larger-than-life fireplace, which creates an ideal setting for intimate conversation among friends. While it’s warm and cozy in the cold winter months, Hearth Room Café is a welcoming and pleasant stop for a meal with friends no matter the weather.
