Perennials are every gardener’s dream. Plant them once, and you have a plethora of beauty to look forward to year after year. On June 4, you’re invited to tour the private gardens of St. Louis’ top landscape designers and their clients and see how these professionals have incorporated perennials into their amazing outdoor spaces.

You will explore an array of local landscapes, from a healing garden that “nurtures the mind, body and soul” to a collector’s garden full of exceptional specimens and everything in between. Participants will experience outstanding blossoms, handsome foliage and form, and more. All proceeds benefit Stray Rescue.

Stray Rescue will be holding a dog adoption from noon to 3 p.m. at the nursery on the day of the tour. All adoptive parents will receive a $25 Sugar Creek gift certificate and a free Well Health Pet Checkup from Dr. Debra D. Johnson, DVM, of West Side Animal Clinic.

During the tour, Sugar Creek Gardens will also be holding a raffle at the nursery — and everybody wins! Each tour ticket number will correspond with a special prize. Giveaways include plants, garden ornaments and fertilizers. Winners must pick up their prizes at Sugar Creek Gardens on June 4 or 5.
