What is your design style/philosophy?

Donna: Good architectural design enhances our daily lives in ways that we wouldn't necessarily predict or expect.  My goal is to provide the most cost-effective solutions by utilizing an optimal design plan that balances ideals, aesthetics and budget.

What does it take to deliver exceptional design?

Donna: You need to listen carefully to the client. It’s not always what they say, but what they don’t say. I pay close attention to body language. Encourage their participation. Build a great team. It takes a team effort to complete your client's dream.

What advice would you give to someone just starting a design career?

Donna: Be passionate and excited about working with others to enrich their lives. Have fun creating and be able to give something of yourself to others.

Tell us a place in St. Louis that inspires you in your career.

Donna: WOW… tough to answer this one. Classic Webster Groves, Kirkwood, University City, Compton Heights, Lafayette Square and Portland Place as well as the Central West End.
